
Organizations often face uncertainty when determining how and where to integrate AI in meaningful ways. To help guide that process, I will sometimes kick off an engagement with an AI Opportunity Matrix. It’s an iterative process that helps teams pick a jumping-off point for their AI engagement by mapping organizational functions to aligned AI methodologies.
The engagement begins by working with stakeholders to define departmental swim lanes and choose their core AI objectives. Once aligned, we collaboratively assign effort scores based on factors like existing systems, data infrastructure, and staff readiness. This version was adapted from a custom strategy engagement for a client.
